Ladner
There are two Ladner / Latner families that arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the galliot Die Fortuna under the command of Skipper Peter Stahl.
They both settled in the Volga German colony of Galka on 27 July 1767. Their relationship to each other is not recorded on the 1767 census, but they are presumed to be brothers.
(1) Konrad Ladner (age 26), a farmer, and his wife Elisabeth Wenzel are recorded on the 1767 census of Galka in Household No. 44 along with Michael Wenzel (Elisabeth's brother).
The parish register of Büdingen records the marriage of Johann Conrad Lattmer and Magdalena Wentzel on 11 March 1766.
(2) Johann Peter Ladner (age 21), a farmer, and his wife Anna Kunigunda are recorded on the 1767 census of Galka in Household No. 45.
The parish register of Büdingen records the marriage of Johann Dietrich [sic] Latmer [sic] and Anna Kunigunda Christ on 10 March 1766.
Johann Peter Ladner from Galka and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Gnadentau.
The 1767 census records that both of these Ladner families came from the German village of Ischenroth [?] in the Darmstadt region.
