Karl Lamp, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 3 June 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dinkel on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 27 July 1767 census in Household No. 46.
The 1767 census records that Karl Lamp came from the German village of Rieben in the region of Brandenburg.
