Johann [Just] Lamm, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Katharina under the command of Skipper Johann Joachim Janson.
Joh. Jost Lahm, his [new] wife Maria Cath., and new-born son Johannes are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Ernestinendorf on 3 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 21 along with a note that they relocated to the colony of Biberstein in 1768. However, the Movement Tables that accompany the 1798 census of Ernestinendorf record that, in 1769, Johann Jost Lamm and his family moved from Ernestinendorf to Biberstein.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Lamm came from the German region of Darmstadt while the 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Elzach.
