Karl Lamp, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Karl, age 8; Anna, age 4) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 May 1766 aboard the galliot named Adler (Eagle) under the command of the Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.
Carl Lamp is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Dinkel on 12 May 1767 and are recorded there on the 27 July 1767 census in Household No. 46.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Karl Lamp came from the German region of Perleberg. The 1767 census records that Karl Lamp came from the German village of Rieben in the region of Brandenburg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Lamp family among the Volga German colonies.
