Lang (Schäfer)
Johann Philipp Lang and his family immigrated first to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein). In 1765, they joined the migration to Russia.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Schäfer on 1 August 1766 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 4.
The 1798 census records that the widow and children of Philipp Lang from Schäfer are in the colony of Reinhard (Household No. Rh04).
The 1767 census records that Johann Philipp Lang came from the German village of Schönberg.
