Lang (Zug)

Georg Lang, a farmer, his wife Philippina, and sons (Vincent, age 10; Georg, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.

Georg Lange [sic], his wife Maria, and sons (Vincentz [sic], age 10¼; Georg, age 7) are recorded on a list of colonists being transported from Oranienbaum to Saratov in 1767.

Widower Georg Lange [sic] and his sons (Franz [sic], age 11; Georg, age 9) are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Paulskaya in Household No. 88. They had arrived there on 3 August 1767.

(1) Georg Lang (age 75) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Zug in Household No. Zg29.

(2) Georg Lang (age 37) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Zug in Household No. Zg04.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Georg Lang came from the German region of the Pfalz. The 1767 census records that he came from the village of Salzberg.
