Andreas Laubach, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, and children (Philippina, age 14; Georg, age 8; Maria, age 4; Johann [Adam], age ½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 11 June 1766 aboard a ship named Der Junge Heinrich (The Young Henry) under the command of Skipper Heinrich Niemann. [A cross next to his name probably indicates that Andreas died during the voyage or shortly thereafter.]
Widow Elisabeth Laubach is recorded on a list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Philippina Laubach (age 13), Maria Elisabeth Laubach (age 6), and Johann Adam Laubach (age 2) are recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 69 along with their stepfather, Johannes Lehr. [See Lehr Family.]
