Lehmann (Stahl am Tarlyk)
Karl Gottlieb Lehmann, a single man, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 25 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig named Maria Sophia under the command of Skipper Johann Bauert.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Tarlyk on 9 May 1767 and he is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 59.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Karl Lehmann was a button maker while the 1767 census records that he was a farmer.
The 1767 census record that Karl Gottlieb Lehmann came from the German village of Pegau in Sachsen (Saxony).
