Leist*
Joachim Friedrich Leist, his wife Regina, and their daughters (Susanna, age 5; Regina, age 1½) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), arriving in the city of Schleswig on 6 June 1761.
They joined the migration to Russia. Friedrich, his new wife Anna Rosina, and daughters (Susanna, age 12; Sophia, age 8) settled in the Volga German colony of Fischer. Friedrich died and Anna Rosina remarried to Johann Jakob Froschmann. The combined Froschmann/Leist family is recorded on the 1767 census of Fischer in Household No. 18.
The Eichhorns record that Joachim Friedrich Leist came from the German region of Brandenburg. The 1767 census records that Anna Rosina came from the Prussian village of Sernow.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Leist family among the Volga German colonies.
