Lichtenstern
Matthias Lichtenstern, a farmer, and his wife Barbara arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.
Martin [sic] Leuchtenstern [sic] and his wife Barbara are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Mattias Lichtenstern, a farmer, and his wife Barbara are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Paulskaya in Household No. 92. They settled in the colony of Wittmann.
Widow Barbara Lichtenstern and her children are recorded on the 1798 census of Wittmann in Household No. Wm27.
The 1767 census records that Matthias Lichtenstern came from the German village of Ellbrunn in the Pfalz region.
