Johann Adam Liebig [sic], son of Johann Sebastian & Anna Margaretha Liebig, was born in 1742 in Groß-Bieberau and confirmed there in 1756.
Johann Adam Lebich [sic] from Groß Bibra [Groß-Bieberau] & Eliesabetha Rebecca Zirkübel from Groß Bibra [Groß-Bieberau] married on 4 April 1766 in the Lutheran Church in Büdigen. [See Zirckgiebel Family.]
Johann Adam Liebich, a cobbler, and his wife Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum aboard a Russian packet-boat under the command of Midshipman Mankensey.
They immigrated to Russia and are recorded on the 1775 census of Beideck in Household No. 10.
They moved to Stahl am Tarlyk. Adam Liebich received authorization to move to Sarepta on 26 April 1790.
They arrived in Sarepta on 10 May 1790 from Stahl am Tarlyk. The records in Sarepta record that the Liebichs had 2 children: (1) Johann Ludwig, born 13 September 1773 in Beideck; and (2) Johann Heinrich, born 15 December 1776 in Beideck.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Adam Liebich came from the German region of Darmstadt.
