Johann Jacob Loos, son of Johann Heinrich Loos & Anna Margaretha Schmidt, was baptized in December 1720 in Unterreichenbach.

Anna Barbara Wolf, daughter of Johannes & Catharina Wolf, was baptized in Unterreichenbach on 21 December 1727.

The baptisms of the following children born in Unterreichenbach to Johann Jacob Loos & Anna Barbara Wolf are recorded in the parish register of Unterreichenbach: (1) Johann Heinrich, baptized 18 September 1750; (2) Johannes, baptized 14 October 1752; (3) Nicolaus, baptized 11 November 1754; (4) Anna Barbara, baptized 10 August 1758; (5) Anna Margaretha, baptized 20 January 1762; and (5) Johann Jacob, baptized 4 February 1765.

Jakob Loos, a farmer, his wife Anna, and children (Johann, age 18; Johannes, age 16; Nikolaus, age 13; Anna, age 9; Margaretha, age 6; Jakob, age 1½) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 29 Augsut 1766 aboard the ship Fortitude under the command of Skipper John Scott. [The surname on this passenger list has been mistranslated as Kloss by some researchers.]

Jakob Loos, a craftsman (Handwerker), his wife Anna Barbara, and children (Johann Heinrich, age 20; Johannes, age 18; Anna Margaretha, age 6) are recorded on the 1767 census of Norka in Household No. 42. They had arrived in Norka on 15 August 1767.

Johann Heinrich Loos and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Norka in Household No. Nr125.

Johannes Loos and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Norka in Household No. Nr100.

The 1767 census records that Jakob Loos came from the German district of Isenburg.
