Lorenz (Kutter-1)
Philipp Lorenz, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Anna, age 21; Margaretha, age 19; Dorothea, age 16; Johannes, age 15; Barbara, age 9) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 13 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Johann Grapp. They settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter on 29 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 63. Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Philipp Lorenz came from the German region of Isenburg.
