Philipp Lorenz, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and children (Anna, age 21; Margaretha, age 19; Dorothea, age 16¼; Johannes, age 15; Barbara, age 9) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 16 August 1766 aboard a snow-brig named Neptunus (Neptune) under the command of Skipper Johann Graap.
They arrived in the Volga German colony of Kutter on 29 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 63.
Johann Georg Lorenz and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Kutter in Household No. 74 along with a note that they relocated to the daughter colony of Unterdorf in 1853.
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Philipp Lorenz came from the German region of Isenburg.
