Ludwig (Ober-Monjou)
Johann Andreas Ludewig [sic] & Catharina Nürnberger were married on 11 April 1766 in the Lutheran Cathedral (Evangelische Kirche Dom) in Lübeck.
Johann Andreas Ludwig, a tailor (Schneider), and his wife Anna [sic] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 May 1766 aboard the galliot Anna Catharina under the command of Skipper Daniel Geier.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Ober-Monjou on 5 March 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 6.
In 1792, Joseph Ludwig moved from Ober-Monjou to Wittmann.
Joseph Ludwig is recorded on the 1798 census of Wittmann in Household No. Wm39.
The 1767 census records that Andreas Ludwig came from the German village of Auma in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).
