Müller (Dietel-1)
There are several Müller families that settled in the Volga German colony of Dietel.
Paul Müller was born in about 1714 in Brackenheim, about 15 kilometers southwest of Heilbronn.
He and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat named Svyatoi Pavel (St. Paul) under the command of the Lieutenant Fyedor Sornev. They settled in the Volga German colony of Dietel on 1 July 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 40.
Son Bernhard and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Dietel in Households No. Dt79 & Dt80.
The 1767 census records that this family is from the German village of Brackenheim in Württemberg.
