Maiwald
Christian [sic] Maiwald and his wife Charlotta arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 18 June 1766 aboard the ship Mann und Frau under the command of Skipper Daniel Berg.
Johann Christian [sic] Meywald [sic] and his wife Charlotta are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
Christoph Maiwald, his wife Charlotta Dorothea, and daughter Charlotta Dorothea (age 1) are recorded on the 1767 census of Lauwe in Household No. 27. They had settled in Lauwe on 5 September 1767.
Christoph Maiwald and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Lauwe in Household No. Lw39.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Christian [sic] Maiwald was a farmer from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony) while the 1767 census records that Christoph Maiwald was a carpenter (Tischler) from the German village of Wikansdol in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).
