Johann Diederich Mast, son of Johann Dieterich Mast & Maria Elisabetha Bersck, was baptized on 18 July 1766 in the Lutheran Cathedral (Evangelische Kirche Dom) in Lübeck.

[Johann] Dietrich Mast, a weaver (Wollweber), and his wife Maria Elisabeth arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 14 September 1766 aboard the galliot Der Jan under the command of Skipper Markus Dragun.

Johann Didrich [sic] Mast and his wife Maria Elisabeth are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Johann Dietrich Mast and his new wife Anna Maria are recorded on the 1767 census of Warenburg in Household No. 77. They had settled there on 12 May 1767.

In 1793, Karl Ferdinand Mast moved from Warenburg to Stahl am Tarlyk.

Heinrich Mast, son of the deceased Dietrich Mast, is recorded on the 1798 census of Warenburg in Household No. Wr085.

The 1767 census records that Johann Dietrich Mast came from the German village of Walenkepr [?] in the Braunshwieg region.
