Mauch*

Georg Mauch, a laborer (Tagelöhner), his wife Christina Rosina, children (Johann, age 5; Johann Mattias, age 3½, Christina Elisabeth, age 1), and his mother Barbara Hofer immigrated to Schleswig-Holstein (Denmark) arriving in Flensburg on 9 June 1762. They eventually settled in the Danish colony of Neuduvenstedt.

Georg Balthasar Mauch, a cobbler, his wife Christina, children (Johannes, age 8; Christina, age 4; Christoph, age 2½), and mother Barbara arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 3 June 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adolph Drath.

Georg Balthasar Mauch, his wife Elisab. Dorothea, and children (Johannes, age 8½; Christina Elisabeth, age 5) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Balthasar Mauch, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Dorothea Margaretha, and children (Johannes, age 12; Christina, age 7) are recorded on the 1767 census of Lauwe in Household No. 26. They had settled there on 5 September 1767.

Balthasar Mauch, his daughter, and her family are recorded on the 1798 census of Lauwe in Household No. Lw16.

The Eichhorns record that Georg Mauch came from the German village of Neckargartach bei Heilbronn. The Oraniembaum passenger list records that Georg Balthasar Mauch came from the German region of Württemberg. The 1767 census records that Balthasar Mauch came from the German village of Winzenburg [Württemberg?].

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
