Daniel Maus, his wife Anna, and stepdaughters (Anna Elisabeth, age 15; Anna Margaretha, age 7) [surname not recorded] immigrated to Russia from the German village of Niederzell.
They arrived at the port of Oranienbaum from Lübeck on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love and Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
Daniel Mauss [sic], his wife Elisabet, and children (Anna, age 12; Margaretha, age 6; Georg, born en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Nieder-Monjou on 7 June 1767 where they are recorded on the 1767 Census in Household No. 38.
