Regina Merler (age 24) is recorded on the 1767 census of Orlovskaya in Household No. 6 along with her brother-in-law Johann Christian Krämer and his family who had relocated to the colony of Katharinenstadt in 1768. It is assumed that she relocated there with them. [See Krämer Family.]
This may be the same person as Dorothea Müller, a single woman with whom the Krämer family arrived in Oranienbaum.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Dorothea Müller came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony). The 1767 census does not record from where Regina Merler came.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Merler / Müller family among the Volga German colonies.
