Mick (Dietel)
Nikolaus Mick, a farmer, his wife Magdalena, and sons (Johann, age 17; Christian, age 9) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a Russian packet-boat named Svyatoi Pavel (St. Paul) under the command of the Lieutenant Fyedor Sornev.
Orphaned Christian Mick is recorded on the 1767 census in the Volga German colony of Dietel in Household No. 43 along with the Georg Herger family. A relationship between the Herger and Mick families is not recorded.
At some point Christian Müch relocated to the colony of Kratzke because in 1796 he is recorded moving from Kratzke to Shcherbakovka.
He is recorded on the 1798 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. Sv03.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Nikolaus Mick came from the German region of Pfalz.
