Mohn
Johannes Mohn, son of Georg & Anna Maria Mohn, was born 17 May 1722 and baptized 25 May 1722 in Hailer. He married on 16 January 1749 in Hailer to Anna Maria Öfner, daughter of Georg Heinrich and Maria Öfner. She had been born 3 September 1726 and baptized 8 September 1726 in Hailer.
The baptisms of six children are recorded in the Hailer parish records: (1) Anna Margaretha, born 15 December 1749, baptized 18 December 1749; (2) Anna Elisabeth, born 25 November 1753, baptized 27 November 1753; (3) Susanna Maria, born 20 September 1756, baptized 26 September 1756; (4) Johann Georg, born 22 May 1760, baptized 25 May 1760; (5) Catharina, born 19 July 1763, baptized 24 July 1763; and (6) Johann Peter, born 5 October 1765, and baptized 13 October 1765.
Johannes Mohn, a farmer, and his family settled in the Volga German colony of Moor on 18 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 32.
In 1792, Johann Jakob Mohn moved from Moor to Balzer.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Mohn came from the German region of Isenburg.
