Johann Michael Müller, a farmer, his wife Elisabeth, his mother-in-law Anna Maria Pflaum, and his sister-in-law Katharina Pflaum immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), arriving in the city of Schleswig on 9 May 1761.
They deserted the Danish colonies on 27 June 1764 and joined the migration to Russia.
Johann Michael & Elisabeth settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 15 April 1765 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 39.
The Eichhorns record that Johann Michael Müller came from the German region of Kurpfalz while the 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Barger in the Kurpfalz.
