Discussion & Documentation

Johann Müller was born in approximately 1772 in the German region of Hannover. He served in Napoleon's army and fought against the Russians. He was captured by the Russians, and in 1812, was settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt. He is recorded on the 1834 Census of Katharinenstadt in Household No. 343 with a note that he had moved to the colony of Urbach in 1828. He is not recorded on the 1850 Census of Urbach, so must have died there before 1834.
