Discussion & Documentation

Christoph Nauer, a blacksmith, his wife Anna, and their children (Christoph, age 12; Anna, age 10) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.

Christoph Nauer, his wife Anna Louisa, and children (Joh. Christophage 12; Anan Dorothea, age 10) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.

Son Johann Christoph Nauer from Boisroux and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Hummel in Household No. Hm15.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Christoph Nauer came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony).
