The baptisms of the following children of Burkart & Margaretha Neidthard (each born in Gichenbach) are recorded on the parish register of Schmalnau: (1) Johannes, born 27 January 1732; (2) Margaretha, born 7 January 1734; and (3) Peter, born 18 August 1738.

Margaretha, mother of Johannes Neidthard, died on 22 December 1784 in Schmalnau.

Johann[es] Neuhard and his wife Katharina arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Johannes under the command of Skipper Stahl.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Semenovka on 24 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 40.

Johannes Neuhard and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Semenovka in Household No. Se13.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Neuhard was a student while the 1767 census records that he was a farmer.

The 1767 census records that Johannes Neuhard came from the German village of Schmalnau in the Fulda region.

There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
