Obendörfer
An article by Wilhelm Funk records the following going to Russia:
Paulus Oberndörfer, a baker (Beck), son of Andreas Oberndörfer, a baker (Beck) and innkeeper (Wirth) in Eltersdorf, Lutheran, and Anna Maria Frey, daughter of the deceased Nicol. Frey, a master tailor (Schneidermeister) in Amberg, Catholic, were married on 7 May 1766 in the Lutheran Church in Wöhrd.
Paul Obendörfer, a baker (Bäcker), and his wife Maria Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard the snow-brig Frei Gebruder under the command of Skipper Minzberger.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Stahl am Tarlyk on 5 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 38.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Paul Obendörfer came from the German region of Bayreuth while the 1767 census records that he came from the German village of Eltersdorf near Erlangen in the district of Nürnberg.
