Oberst
Johann Oberst, a farmer, and his wife Anna arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Heinrich Sager.
Johannes Oberst and his wife Anna are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Semenovka on 24 July 1767. He is recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 41 as a single man.
In 1796, Johannes Oberst and his family moved from Semenovka to Pfeifer.
The 1767 census records that Johannes Oberst came from the German village of Koppenwind in the region of Würzburg.
