Lorenz Person and his wife Anna arrived from Reval [Estonia] at the port of Oranienbaum on 30 May 1766 aboard the pink Novaya Dvinka under the command of Lieutenant Ivan Perepechin.
Lorenz settled in the Volga German colony of Göbel on 25 May 1767 where he is recorded on the 1767 census in Household No. 30 along with new wife Katharina Krämer and son Ludwig (3-months-old).
The 1834 census of Göbel records in Household No. 128 that Philipp Person and his family moved from Göbel to Degott in 1820. They are recorded on the 1834 census of Degott in Household No. 3.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Lorenz Person was a farmer while the 1767 census records that he was a soldier (Soldat). The 1767 census records that Lorenz Person came from the French village of Pout-aux-Moines [?].
