Ebe Peters, a farmer, his wife Katharina Johanna, and sons (Peter, age 8; Hans, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 22 July 1766 aboard a Danish galliot named Der Engel Rafael (Archangel Raphael) under the command of Skipper Ehlert Kongsted.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Jost on 5 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Ebe Peters came from the German region of Danzig. The 1767 census records that Ebe Peters came from the Danish village of Hållsbyn.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Peters family among the Volga German colonies.
