Ebe Peters, a farmer, and his family arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 8 August 1766 aboard the Danish galliot Der Engel Rafael under the command of Skipper Ehlert Kongsted.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Jost on 5 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 30.

The 1767 census records that Ebe Peters came from the Danish village of Hållsbyn.
