Discussion & Documentation

Johann Gottlieb Pfützner / Fitzner, his unnamed wife, and son Wilhelm (age 18) immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving in Fridericia on 1 May 1760.

They are last recorded in the Danish colonies on 26 Apil 1763. They joined the migration to Russia and are recorded on the 1775 census of Schilling in Household No. 27.

The Eichhorns record that Johann Gottlieb Pfützner came from the German region of Sachsen (Saxony).

There do not appear to be any surviving male descendants of this Pfürtzer family among the Volga German colonies.
