Rüb(e)sam
Johannes Rübsam, son of Johannes Rübsam, married on 19 October 1718 in Alsberg to Margartha, widow of Balthasar Span of Hohenzell. Margaretha died 19 May 1734 in Salmünster.
Johannes Rübsam remarried in Salmünster on 7 November 1734 to Anna Margaretha née Müller, widow of Johannes Freyenstein [sic]. [She had been married to Johannes Freystein [sic] on 4 March 1725, and he died 22 September 1731.] Anna Margaretha Müller had been born 7 June 1703 in Salmünster.
The baptisms of the following children [all born in Salmünster] of Johannes Rübsam and Anna Margaretha Müller are recorded in the parish register of Salmünster: (1) Johann Adam, born 28 September 1735, died 16 November 1742; (2) Johann Valentin, born 16 February 1739; (3) Johann Adam, born 3 September 1742; and (4) Anna Margaretha, born 1 March 1744, died 24 June 1744.
Margaretha Rübsam née Müller died on 2 March 1758 in Salmünster.
Valentin Rübsame [sic] (born 1739, above) and Catharina Hubert were married 3 June 1765 in Roßlau.
Valentin Rüb(e)sam, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and son Johann Adam (age 1½) are recorded on the 1767 census of Graf in Household No. 22. They had settled there on 10 June 1766.
August Rübsam from Graf is recorded on the 1798 census of Beauregard in Household No. Bo28.
The death of August Rübsam in 1828 is recorded on the 1834 census of Beauregard in Household No. 45.
The 1767 census records that Valentin Rüb(e)sam came from the German village of Salmünster in the Fulda region and that Katharina came from the German village of Schönberg.
