Johann Friedrich Raabe, a cobbler (Schuhmacher), his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Anna (age 5) are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Kaneau in Household No. 50.
It is not known in which colony they settled.
The 1767 census records that Johann Friedrich Raabe came from the German village of Zell.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Raabe family among the Volga German colonies.
