Discussion & Documentation:

Otto Rapp, a weaver, his wife Elisabeth, and daughter Anna (age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 12 September 1766 aboard an English frigate under the command of Skipper Adam Beerfeier.

Otto Reinh. Rapp, his wife Elisabetha, and daughter Anna Maria (age 1¼) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both father Otto and daughter Anna Maria died in route.

It is not known in which colony Elisabeth settled.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Otto Rapp came from the German region of Darmstadt.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Rapp family among the Volga German colonies.
