Discussion & Documentation

Kaspar Reinhardt, a farmer, his wife Christina, and son Johann (age ¼) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 10 August 1766 aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Nikolaus Peter Pink.

Caspar Reinhard [sic], his wife Christina, and new-born son Johannes are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that both father Casper and son Johannes died in route.

It is not known in which colony Widow Christina Reinhardt settled.

The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Kaspar Reinhardt came from the German region of Würzburg.

There are no known surviving male lines of this Reinhardt family among the Volga German colonies.
