Reisch (Orlovskaya)
[Johann] Friedrich Reisch, a farmer, his wife Klara, and children (Peter, age 10; Karl, age 8; Barbara, age 6) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Skipper Thomas Fairfax.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Orlovskaya on 7 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 2 along with orphan Johann Deringer (age 20). The 1767 census does not record a relationship between the Reisch and Deringer families.
The 1767 census records that Johann Friedrich Reisch came from the German village of Köthen in the Neustadt region.
