Peter Remus, a farmer, and his wife Katharina settled in the Volga German colony of Graf on 10 June 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 13.
The death of Heinrich Remus in 1821 is recorded on the 1834 census of Graf in Household No. 89.
The 1767 census records that Peter Remus came from the German village of Bergzabern in the Zweibrücken region and that Katharina came from the German village of Aschaffenburg.
There are no known surviving male lines of this family among the Volga German colonies.
