Richter (Lauwe)*
Johann Friedrich Richter & Magdalena Fansch were married on 1 June 1766 in Roßlau.
Friedrich Richter, a farmer, his wife Magdalena, and their son Hans Carl (age 1) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Adler under the command of Skipper Paul Adam Drath.
Friedrich Richter, his wife Magdalena, and son Johann Karl Georg (age 1¼, died en route) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Lauwe on 5 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 44.
The 1767 census records that Friedrich Richter came from the German village of Kemberg in the region of Sachsen (Saxony).
There are no known surviving male lines of this Richter family among the Volga German colonies.
