Discussion & Documentation

Paul David Rosengrün (age 4) and his brother Johann Joachim (age 2) settled in the Volga German colony of Rosenheim on 27 July 1765. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 29 along with their mother and stepfather, Johann Schreider.

In 1790, Martin Rosengrün moved from Rosenheim to Nieder-Monjou.

The 1767 census records that their mother came from the German village of Franzburg in Swedish Pomerania.
