Schäfer (Grimm-3)
Widow Eva Elisabeth Schäfer and her children (Jakob, Johann Kaspar; Johann Georg; Eva Elisabeth; Anna Margaretha) immigrated to Schleswig-Holstein (Denmark) arriving in the town of Schleswig on 30 may 1761. They are last recorded in the Danish colonies on 18 February 1765.
They joined the migration to Russia and are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Households No. 42, 58, & 70.
The Eichhorns record that this Schäfer family came from the German village of Rohrbach near Lichtenberg in the Hessen-Darmstadt region.
