Schäfer (Shcherbakovka-2)
Konrad Schäfer, a farmer, and his wife Anna Margaretha arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 7 August 1767.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Shcherbakovka on 7 August 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 48.
The widow [2nd wife] and children of Konrad Schäfer are recorded on the 1798 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. Sv21.
Brothers Peter & Andreas Schäfer, sons of Konrad Schäfer, are recorded on the 1834 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. 62.
The death of Peter Schäfer in 1838 is recorded on the 1850 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. 136.
Johann Christopher Schäfer, son of Peter Schäfer, and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Shcherbakovka in Household No. 141 along with a note that they relocated to the daughter colony of Erlenbach.
Johann Christoph Schäfer from Shcherbakovka and his family are recorded on the 1857 census of Erlenbach in Household No. 31.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Konrad Schäfer came from the German region of Darmstadt. The 1767 census records that Konrad Schäfer came from the German village of Kieselbach.
