Schenk (Dobrinka)
Johann Conrad Schenck, son of Johann Just Schenck & Anna Elisabeth Kalb, was born on 16 July 1742 in Billertshausen.
Konrad Schenk, a single farmer, arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766 aboard the English frigate Love & Unity under the command of Sipper Thomas Fairfax.
He immigrated to Russia, arriving at the port in Oranienbaum on 4 July 1766. Once in Russia, he married Anna Margaretha Barbara Eich, daughter of Sebastian Eich & Sophia Philippina Ramge, who had been on the same ship from Germany to Russia.
He settled in the Volga German colony of Dobrinka on 20 June 1767. They are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 74 along with his new wife Margaretha Barbara.
The 1767 census records that Konrad Schenk came from the German village of Belzer in the Darmstadt region.
