Johann Schenk, a farmer, his wife Katharina, and sons (Johann, age 16¼; Konrad, age 7) arrived from Lübeck at the port in Oranienbaum on 17 July 1766 aboard a pink named Lev (Lion) under the command of Lieutenant Fyodor Fyodorov.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Kutter on 8 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 41.
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Johann Schenk came from the German region of Hanau and the 1767 census records that Johann Schenk came from the German region of Isenburg.
