Discussion & Documentation:

Christina Schmidt (age 12), her mother Christina Elisabeth, and step-father Johann Gottfried Henning arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the Danish galliot Nord Stern under the command of Skipper Detlev Belling.

They settled in the Volga German colony of Lauwe on 5 September 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 38 [with step-father's surname translated as Göringen]. Christina is recorded in Lauwe on the 1798 census in Household No. Lw05.

Neither the Oranienbaum passenger list nor the 1767 census record from where Christina came.
