Johann Adam Schneider, a farmer, his wife Anna Klara, and children (Gertruda, age 16; Georg Heinrich, age 8; Sibilla, age 5; Andreas, age 1½ [sic]) arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 15 September 1766 aboard the galliot Johannes under the command of Skipper Stahl.

Johann Adam Schneider, his wife Anna Clara, and children (Gertruda, age 16; Andreas, age 12 [sic]; Georg Heinrich, age 8; Sybilla, age 5; Anna Margretha, [age not recorded]) are recorded on the list of colonists being transported from St. Petersburg to Saratov in 1767 along with a note that mother Anna Clara, son Andreas, and daughter Anna Margretha died en route.

Widower Johann Adam Schneider, a farmer, and his children (Gertrude, age 20; Georg Heinrich, age 12; Sibilla, age 6) are recorded on the 1767 census of Grimm in Household No. 31.

Adam Schneider, his wife Augusta Maria, and children (Georg Heinrich, age 16; Sibilla, age 12) are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 111 along with his stepchildren [surname Seifert] (Jakob Friedrich, age 20; Christian, age 17; Augusta, age 14).

Son Georg, his wife Christina, and son Johannes (age ½) are recorded on the 1775 census of Grimm in Household No. 5 along with his stepchildren [surname Meisner] (Alexander, age 11; Johann Georg, age 9; Mattias, age 6; Georg Konrad, age 3).

Georg Schneider (age 45) is recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm081.

[Georg] Heinrich Schneider (age 39) and his family are recorded on the 1798 census of Grimm in Household No. Gm101 along with his stepmother Augusta (age 70).

The 1767 census records that Johann Adam Schneider came from the German region of Darmstadt.

[This Schneider family has not been located in the parish register of Billertshausen where the other Schneider family in Grimm was recorded.]
