Michael Schneider and his family immigrated to Russia, but only his 4 sons survived to settled in the Volga German colony of Philippsfeld. The 4 sons (Kaspar, Michael Jr., Christian, and Valentin) are recorded on the 1767 census of Philippsfeld in Household No. 7 living with the Wilhelm Thomas family.

A relationship between the Schneider and Thomas family is not recorded on the 1767 census of Philippsfeld.

Son Valentin is recorded on the 1798 census (Fs43) living in the colony of Fischer.
