Christoph Schon, a mason (Maurer), and his wife Margaretha are recorded on an appendix to the 1767 census of Kaneau in Household No. 26.
It is not known in which colony they settled.
The 1767 census records that Christoph Schon came from the German village of Plisteranstof.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Schon family among the Volga German colonies.
