Schröder (Grimm-1)
Martin Schroeder & Anna Catharina Bra [Pea] were married on 20 March 1766 in the Lutheran Church of Büdingen.
Martin Schröder, his wife Katharina, and his brother[-in-law] Johann [Heinrich Pea] arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 19 July 1766 aboard a galliot named Concordia under the command of Skipper Jakob Bauert.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Grimm and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 50 along with an aunt Margaretha (age 68) [surname not recorded].
The Oranienbaum passenger list records that Martin Schröder was a carpenter while the 1767 census records that he was a craftsman (Handwerker).
Both the Oranienbaum passenger list and the 1767 census record that Martin Schröder came from the German village of Gelnhausen.
