In 1789, Peter Schuhmacher and his family moved from Pobochnaya to Yagodnaya Polyana. On the 1798 census of Merkel (Mr29), Peter Schuhmacher is recorded as residing in Pobochnaya.
Jakob Schuhmacher and his family are recorded on the 1834 census of Yagodnaya Polyana in Household No. 129 along with a note that Jakob had died there in 1834.
The 1767 census records that Peter Schuhmacher came from the German district of Hamburg.
