Schulz (Urbach-2)*
Johann Christian Schulz, a farmer, and his wife Anna Dorothea arrived from Lübeck at the port of Oranienbaum on 21 July 1766 aboard the snow-brig Mercurius under the command of Skipper Christian Heinrich Abelßen.
They settled in the Volga German colony of Urbach on 13 July 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 census in Household No. 21.
The 1767 census records that Christian Friedrich Schulz came from the German village of Siebenlehn [?] in Sachsen (Saxony) and that Anna Dorothea came from the German village of Ziegesee [?] in the Brandenburg region.
There are no known surviving male lines of this Schulz family among the Volga German colonies.
